BUSE CRUSH FRIDAY: VIMBAI GADZIKWA
“Each time a woman stands up for herself, she stands for all women”, a true notion that vehemently depicts student post’s Friday Crush Friday, Vimbai Gadzikwa, one of the most profound and profoundly transformative trail blazers of student activism of our generation.
Vimbai Gadzikwa distinguished by her intelligence, adventurous spirit and fierce advocacy for students rights was born on 4 October 1998. Vimbai’s fascinating memoir sheds light on her career as a student journalist, upcoming young black business woman and a renowned female leader who is an impassioned defender of both women and students rights.
She is also mischievously referred to as the Winnie Madikizela Mandela of our generation in some student political circles because of her strong passion for standing firm and strong for what is right. She recently completed her Procument degree at Bindura University of Science Education.
Our Crush is affectionately known for defining a new trajectory in student activism when she stood firm and fought quite well during the SRC elections for presidency.
During her time on campus she was the Secretary for LIA Zim (2017-2018), Secretary for Student Post (2018-2019), Secretary for Boost Enactus (2018-2019) where she was also a part of the winning team that won the nationals qualifying for the internationals which were held in Silicon Valley USA.
In 2020 she cofounded a company called Statchings Holdings and she is currently investing her efforts in farming and her company. We wish her nothing but the best in all her future endeavors.
